Mishimoto – Performance Turbo Intercooler Kit
Description
The Mishimoto performance intercooler kit for the Volkswagen MK7 Golf TSI/GTI/R and Audi A3/S3 replaces the OEM tube-and-fin setup, which struggles to keep intake air temperatures down under intense driving. The larger core increases overall volume by 89% and external fin surface area by 162% over stock. The all-aluminum TIG-welded bar-and-plate construction features cast end tanks with integrated airflow diverters to maximize use of the full core. Included piping replaces stock plastic and rubber with mandrel-bent aluminum and 5-layer silicone couplers (2.75" diameter, +30% flow). Combined results: max gains of 14.5 whp and 13 wtq, with intercooler outlet temperatures dropping 23°F.
